Jakarta – To expand its business, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) plans to become a holding company by establishing two subsidiaries. The company has also conducted feasibility and analysis related to the plan to become a holding company. The information was conveyed by the company in presentation materials in Jakarta, yesterday.
The company will establish two subsidiaries engaged in internet service providers under the name PT Multinet Perkasa Indonesia and in outsourcing under the name PT Borneo Sentana Gemilang. The establishment of Multinet Perkasa Indonesia will be done by receiving a separation from the internet provider business segment ‘PACNet’ which is a business segment engaged in the same field.
The shareholding structure of Multinet Perkasa Indonesia is Transkon Jaya with 90% shareholding, PT Damai Investama Sukses with 5%, and PT MSI Investama Abadi with 5%. The business activities of Multinet Perkasa Indonesia are Internet Service Provider, Internet Interconnection Services and Hosting and Ybdi Activities.
Then, Transkon Jaya also established a business PT Borneo Sentana Gemilang which focuses on providing driver services and selling spare parts specifically for the mining transportation sector. The establishment of Borneo Sentana aims to expand the business field to cover new business opportunities and is expected to provide innovation and optimize the business field. The ownership structure of Borneo Sentana Gemilang is Transkon Jaya with 98% ownership, Damai Investama Sukses with 1% and MSI Investama Abadi with 1%.
Previously, the company added operational points for vehicle distribution in West Kalimantan Province (Kalbar). This is in line with the company’s commitment to continue expanding market coverage. Corporate Secretary of Transkon Jaya, Alexander Syauta once explained, this expansion also aims to strengthen the position of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk as one of the Kalimantan-based vehicle rental service providers that continues to be able to show its business development, especially in the area where the company stands and grows, namely Kalimantan Island. “The addition of a new point in West Kalimantan Province is motivated by an increase in demand for the number of vehicle rentals owned by the company,” he said.
He conveyed, the company sent 10 units of vehicles with a total contract value of more than Rp 7 billion so that currently PT Transkon Jaya Tbk has 2,688 vehicles operating at many points spread throughout Indonesia and will certainly continue to grow along with the increasing number of requests from customers and prospective customers.
According to him, the addition of vehicle operational points is one of the business expansion strategies that is expected to result in an increase in the strength of the company’s business, increased profits, and as an access to new customers. He mentioned, in addition to increasing the distribution point of vehicle operations, TRJA also targets to reach many types of industrial sectors, specifically coal mining, nickel, minerals, gold, to infrastructure and is optimistic to be able to immediately realize this target.
