Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Transportation and infrastructure issuer PT Transkon Jaya Tbk. (TRJA) has decided to distribute dividends of Rp 4.53 billion to shareholders for the 2022 fiscal year.
The distribution is based on the decision made at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held in Jakarta on Thursday (22/6/2023).
If we calculate the number of shares outstanding, which is 1.51 billion shares, then the dividend per share that shareholders will receive is Rp 3 per share.
TRJA’s Corporate Secretary, Alexander Syauta, mentioned that the dividend amount distributed by the company is the same as last year, totaling Rp 4.5 billion. The dividend payout ratio (DPR) figure is also the same as the previous year.
“For the dividend payout ratio [DPR], it is more or less the same as the 2021 fiscal year. Related to the net income in 2022, which is around Rp 36 billion, so the calculated DPR is about 12 percent of the profit,” said Alexander in a public presentation on Thursday (22/6/2023).
Looking at TRJA’s financial report for the year 2022, the net profit attributed to the parent company amounted to Rp 36.44 billion. This profit decreased by 20.75 percent year-on-year (YoY) compared to 2021, which was Rp 45.99 billion.
On the other hand, the company’s revenue actually increased by 19.97 percent YoY to Rp 483 billion in 2022, compared to Rp 402.58 billion in 2021.
TRJA’s President Director, Lexi Roland Rompas, added that the reason for distributing dividends of the same amount as last year is that the company needs funds for expansion and operations.
“More or less the same as last year because we need funds for the beginning of operations in 2023. With the dynamics we are facing this year, we need sufficient funds to run the company’s operational wheels,” said Lexi.
Shareholders entitled to receive dividends are those whose names are recorded (recording date) on July 5, 2023. The cash dividend will be distributed on July 26, 2023.
