(TRJA) is ready to seize opportunities from the national capital relocation project in East Kalimantan, which is now being prepared for regulations in the form of laws by the government and has entered the national legislative program (prolegnas) for 2021. Transkon Jaya Corporate Secretary Alexander Syauta explained that as a company based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, there are not many similar companies operating there and have become publicly traded companies. “We are currently at the planned location for the development of the national capital, even though it was previously postponed due to the pandemic, but now there is a plan for the National Capital City Bill that entered the prolegnas 2021. This will certainly benefit us,” he said in a live broadcast on the @idxriau Instagram account, Monday (18/1/2021).
Previously, the DPR agreed that there were a total of 33 Draft Laws included in the 2021 national legislative program. One of them is the National Capital City (IKN) Bill.
The legislation for IKN is one of the 9 Bills proposed by the government to be discussed together with the legislative. The IKN project is estimated to require development funds of up to IDR 400 trillion. According to Alexander, this IKN project will be an opportunity for the company, as the infrastructure development will certainly involve a survey process that requires off-road operational vehicles.
Therefore, as a company that offers rental services for double-cabin 4×4 vehicles, it will benefit from its proximity to the construction site of the new national capital in East Kalimantan. “While many parties are not aware that the national capital will be moved, we have seen that potential and we will not have difficulty when we are involved in the process and stages of the future development of the national capital,” he said. PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) is a vehicle rental and internet service provider based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The company was established in 2002 and entered the capital market through an initial public offering (IPO) on August 27, 2020.
