Jakarta, Liputan6.com – PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) has secured four new contracts throughout 2021, and these are not contract extensions. This was conveyed by Alexander Syauta, the Corporate Secretary of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk, in a public presentation on Wednesday (30/6/2021).
“For contracts that are genuinely new, not extensions, we calculate there are 3-4 new contracts. One of them is in Halmahera, infrastructure, totaling IDR 125 billion,” he said.
The project in Halmahera is a collaboration between Transkon Jaya and its new customer. Through this latest project, Transkon Jaya continues its expansion in 2021 and continues to realize its mission to explore various business lines.
This project will be carried out in an industrial area to facilitate the processing of minerals and the production of components for electric vehicle batteries. Currently, the company is pursuing a new project that is expected to add a point to the spread of the company’s business regions.
“Currently, we are also pursuing one new contract that will hopefully add a point on the spread map,” said Alex.
“We are currently communicating with a company in the energy sector in the West Java region,” said Lexi Rompas, the President Director of Transkon Jaya.
He said that the condition and location are currently being monitored intensively by the sales marketing team. The hope is that this project can reach an agreement in the near future.
Aiming for Increased Contributions from the Non-Coal Sector
Previously, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) is currently listed as having a portfolio dominated by the coal sector, accounting for about 80 percent.
However, for this year, the company targets a 5 percent decrease in the share of this sector. In other words, the non-coal sector’s portfolio is expected to increase by 5 percent.
“We target (non-coal) to contribute to our portfolio. So, if our portfolio is currently 80 percent in coal mining, it can decrease by 5 percent this year,” said Alexander Syauta, Corporate Secretary of TRJA in a public presentation on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Earlier this year, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk expanded its business operations to operate in Halmahera Island, North Maluku Province.
This expansion is the first target location point for PT Transkon Jaya Tbk after conducting an initial public offering (IPO). Through this latest project, Transkon Jaya continues its expansion in 2021 and continues to realize its mission to explore various business lines.

Additionally, Alex mentioned that the company’s internet business line continues to grow and receives quite a high demand. Recently, the company plans to add services in Tenggarong, East Kalimantan. This move is considered potential for the development of the company’s internet business in that region.
“We hope that in the future we can increase internet service provision in other areas in East Kalimantan. The contribution of 2.5 percent from the internet, we hope it will increase to 5 percent by the end of this year,” concluded Alex.
