KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) is actively pursuing business opportunities in the new capital city. The company, based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, plans to open a representative office in the new capital city to increase its exposure to the region.
TRJA, known for providing 4×4 and 4×2 vehicle rentals for the mining, oil and gas, and construction industries, is focusing on expanding its rental division into the new capital city. The company aims to establish branch offices in the new capital city as part of its expansion strategy.
Alexander Syauta, the Corporate Secretary of Transkon Jaya, expressed the company’s commitment to reaching the new capital city during an IG Live event. He stated that the rental vehicle division is making efforts to penetrate the new capital city. The company, originating from East Kalimantan, is confident in its expansion plans and views the new capital city as a strategic location for business growth.
In support of its expansion plans, TRJA is scheduled to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) on February 25, 2022. The meeting aims to seek approval for the formation of subsidiary entities.
This year, TRJA intends to restructure its business focus by establishing two subsidiary entities. One entity will be involved in outsourcing as a workforce support, while the other will provide internet network services (Internet Service Provider) following the separation of business focuses.
Syauta added that the expansion of the rental vehicle division into the new capital city follows the presence of TRJA’s Internet Service Provider (PACNet) Division, which is already operating around the new capital city in Penajem, Paser Utara. For the time being, TRJA will focus on providing internet services as a business in the new capital city.
From the internet division, TRJA aims to provide internet access to construction companies and government agencies, serving as the company’s primary market to achieve revenue targets this year.
In terms of capital expenditure (Capex), TRJA has allocated IDR 400 billion for 2022, which will be used to purchase new vehicles and their spare parts. This strategic move signals TRJA’s business expansion in the vehicle rental sector for the year.
As of the end of 2021, the company already had 2,688 vehicles. TRJA projects adding approximately 80 units per month, totaling an estimated 960 units in 2022. By the end of 2022, the total fleet owned by the company is expected to exceed 3,000 units.
Facing the year 2022, Transkon Jaya targets a revenue growth of 15% compared to the previous year. For net profit, TRJA aims for a 10% growth in 2022. However, Syauta mentioned that the financial reports are still in the finalization stage, making it difficult to measure the revenue target for this year.
Regarding the contract value, TRJA targets a similar value as the previous year. In 2022, the company aims for a contract value ranging from IDR 300 billion to IDR 400 billion, estimated based on contract extensions or new contract acquisitions.
