Samindo Resources (MYOH) Officially Becomes the New Controlling Shareholder of Transkon Jaya (TRJA)

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Samindo Resources Tbk (MYOH) has officially become the new controlling shareholder of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA). On Thursday (30/11), MYOH signed a deed of sale and purchase for 1.11 billion shares of TRJA.

This amount is equivalent to 74% of the total issued and fully paid-up capital previously owned by PT Damai Investama Sukses and PT MSJ Investama Abadi.

In detail, MYOH purchased TRJA shares from Damai Investama Sukses for 663.46 million shares, equivalent to 43.93% of the total issued TRJA shares. Then, MYOH purchased TRJA shares from MSJ for 454.08 million shares, equivalent to 30.07%.

The acquisition was made at a price of IDR 275 per share. Thus, the total value of the TRJA share acquisition is approximately IDR 307.32 billion.

With this transaction, MYOH officially becomes the new controlling shareholder of TRJA.

“This transaction will also diversify services and strengthen MYOH’s position in the mining services industry,” wrote MYOH Corporate Secretary Ahmad Zaki Natsir in the disclosure of information to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Friday (1/12).

TRJA is a company engaged in the rental of four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles, which are essential support transportation tools in mining activities.

In the national mining sector, TRJA, through its more than 2,800 4WD vehicles, is widely distributed among various renowned mining contractors in Indonesia.

For example, Pama Persada, a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), and PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama, a subsidiary of PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID).

Not only in coal mining, but TRJA’s services have also expanded into the nickel, copper, and gold mining sectors.
