Balikpapan, Borneoupdate.com – The government, through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is currently implementing a collective vaccination program that began on May 17, 2021, or after Eid al-Fitr. The procurement of the Covid-19 vaccine for this collective vaccination is borne by private companies, which are then provided free of charge to employees or workers and their families.
In addition to continuing to comply with applicable government regulations and implementing strict health protocols in its operational areas, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk has also administered vaccines to hundreds of employees on Wednesday, September 2, 2021, at Hermina Hospital, Balikpapan.
Not only carried out for employees in Balikpapan, TRJA also simultaneously conducted vaccination activities in all work areas where its employees operate, and in total, the company has provided vaccination for 400 employees. In this vaccination activity, the company provided the Sinopharm vaccine.
Still on the same day, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk conducted vaccination activities for more than 100 family members of its employees, which took place at BSCC Dome Balikpapan. Collaborating with the Financial Services Authority Representative for East Kalimantan, this activity is one of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) responsibilities in supporting the accelerated distribution of vaccines to the community in the city of Balikpapan.
Then, on September 9, 2021, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk, a member of APINDO, also provided vaccination at BSCC Dome Balikpapan for the general public, and this activity is still in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority or OJK Representative for East Kalimantan. In total, in these activities, vaccination has been given to more than 5,000 people.
In addition to supporting the acceleration of vaccination, this activity is also carried out as a preventive measure to control the spread of Covid-19 so that East Kalimantan can achieve herd immunity. The community can return to normal productivity. Without forgetting the main reason, this activity reflects the company’s concern for its employees because for PT Transkon Jaya Tbk, its employees are valuable assets owned by the company, which is expected to be an example for other companies that have not registered for collective vaccinations in the East Kalimantan region.
