Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The vehicle rental company PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) reported a share purchase action by the controlling shareholder, PT Damai Investama Sukses, amounting to Rp9.98 billion.
In the disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Damai Investama acquired TRJA shares in two stages, on November 7 and 10, 2023. The total value reached 36.3 million shares with an average price of Rp275 per share.
On November 7, 2023, Damai Investama purchased 14.5 million shares, followed by another acquisition of 21.8 million shares on November 10. Consequently, this transaction accumulated a value of Rp9.98 billion.
Following the transaction, Damai Investama’s ownership in TRJA experienced a significant increase, reaching 607,089,000 shares or 40.2%. Previously, the controlling shareholder only held 570,789,000 shares or 37.8%.
“The purpose of the transaction is investment,” as stated by TRJA Corporate Secretary Alexander Syauta, quoted on Tuesday (14/11/2023).
In response to this news, TRJA’s stock price dropped by 0.76% to Rp262 per share. The market capitalization reached Rp395.67 billion.
