Warta Ekonomi, Jakarta – The coal company owned by conglomerate Low Tuck Kwong, PT Samindo Resources Tbk (MYOH), is set to acquire PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA), a coal transportation company.

Corporate Secretary of PT Samindo Resources Tbk, Ahmad Zaki Natsir, stated that the company has signed a Conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement with the controlling shareholders of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) on November 14, 2023 (CSPA).

“In the CSPA, the conditions to be fulfilled by the parties in the process of acquiring TRJA shares have been agreed upon before the acquisition is completed entirely,” said Ahmad Zaki in his official statement in Jakarta on Friday (11/17/2023).

He mentioned that the number of TRJA shares that the company will acquire belongs to PT Damai Investama Sukses and PT MSJ Investama Abadi, totaling 1.23 billion shares in TRJA.

“The acquisition will only be carried out by one party, namely the company, and there is no organized group involved in the TRJA acquisition,” he explained.

Ahmad Zaki stated that the acquisition of controlling shares in TRJA is one of the business development strategies of the company.

“The acquisition will diversify the company’s services and strengthen its position in the mining services industry,” he concluded.
