As the government refocuses on regional infrastructure development, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) is set to explore business lines within the infrastructure, transportation, and utility sectors.
Corporate Secretary of TRJA, Alexander Syauta, stated that the company, currently operating in infrastructure, transportation, and utilities, has targeted new business lines since the beginning of the first semester of 2021. This month, TRJA successfully won a collaboration tender with a new customer for an infrastructure project.
“This new business line is part of our business portfolio exploration, considering that we have been primarily involved in the mining industry,” explained Alexander on Monday (March 29, 2021).
Additionally, for this project, TRJA has introduced its latest service using light trucks and light buses. The new services were designed since late 2020 and were realized faster than estimated, facilitating the project with over 30 vehicles and an investment value exceeding IDR 10 billion.
The expansion into the infrastructure business line demonstrates innovation and growth at TRJA, achieving excellence in each period. This business expansion is located on the island of Kalimantan, where the company originated and grew.
“Pulau Kalimantan is also the point where the central government is planned to be built. In the future, there will be many business opportunities for investment in the prospective capital city location,” he added.
TRJA is optimistic that this move will open up opportunities for active participation in regional economic development and is projected to extend to a national scale.
On the other hand, the management of TRJA will face new challenges to continue evolving, keeping pace with economic growth and regional development, while maintaining its excellent performance in the light vehicle rental sector across various businesses or industries.
