Liputan6.com, Jakarta – PT Damai Investama Sukses, the major shareholder of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA), increased its ownership of TRJA shares on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. According to information disclosed to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Sunday, November 19, 2023, Damai Investama Sukses purchased TRJA shares in two stages on November 15, 2023. First, Damai Investama Sukses acquired 18.70 million TRJA shares at a price of Rp 275 per share. Second, Damai Investama Sukses purchased an additional 48.50 million TRJA shares at the same price. Thus, the total purchase amounted to 67.20 million TRJA shares, with a total value of Rp 18.48 billion.
“The purpose of the transaction is an investment with the status of direct share ownership,” stated Secretary of the Company PT Transkon Jaya Tbk, R. Alexander J. Syauta.
On the closing day of trading on Friday, November 17, 2023, TRJA shares declined by 0.71% to Rp 280 per share. TRJA shares opened with a four-point increase to Rp 286 per share. The highest level recorded for TRJA shares was Rp 310, and the lowest was Rp 274 per share. The total trading frequency was 10,585 times, with a trading volume of 1,323,041 shares and a transaction value of Rp 38.1 billion. Over the week, TRJA shares increased by 6.87%.
Acquisition of TRJA Shares by MYOH
Previously, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk announced the signing of a conditional share purchase agreement between the company’s shareholders and PT Samindo Resources Tbk (MYOH), a company engaged in coal mining services. This follows the information disclosure from Samindo Resources Tbk on November 16, 2023, regarding the signing of a conditional share purchase agreement between MYOH and TRJA’s shareholders.
The management of PT Samindo Resources Tbk stated that the company would take over TRJA shares owned by PT Damai Investama Sukses and PT MSJ Investama Abadi, totaling 1,238,364,000 shares in TRJA. This agreement was marked by the signing of a conditional share purchase agreement between PT Samindo Resources Tbk and TRJA’s controlling shareholders on November 14, 2023.
“The acquisition of controlling shares of TRJA is one of the company’s business development strategies,” stated MYOH’s management.
The acquisition will diversify the company’s services and strengthen its position in the mining services industry. On the closing day of trading on Friday, November 17, 2023, MYOH shares increased by 2.63% to Rp 1,755 per share. The transaction value was Rp 3.48 billion, with a trading volume of 1.75 million shares and a total trading frequency of 2,268 times. Over the week, MYOH shares also gained by 4.78%, and year-to-date, they soared by 10.38%.
It’s worth noting that the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) experienced a significant surge in the trading week from November 13 to November 17, 2023. IHSG even touched the 6,900 level again. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), IHSG rose by 2.47% to 6,977.66 in the week from November 13 to 17, 2023. The previous week, IHSG increased by only 0.30% to 6,809.26. Market capitalization jumped by 3.27% to Rp 11,040 trillion from the previous week’s Rp 10,690 trillion. However, the average daily trading volume decreased by 11.35% to 16.94 billion shares from the previous week’s 19.11 billion. Similarly, the average daily trading value dropped by 32.42% to Rp 8.63 trillion from Rp 12.77 trillion in the previous week. The average daily transaction frequency also decreased by 3.45% to 1,076,690 times from 1,115,185 times the previous week. Foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp 157 billion on Friday, November 17, 2023. However, over the week, foreign investors bought shares worth Rp 708.45 billion. Year-to-date, foreign investors have sold shares worth Rp 15.48 trillion.
On Friday, November 17, 2023, the Sustainable Bond VI of Federal International Finance with Fixed Interest Rate Phase II Year 2023, issued by PT Federal International Finance (FIFA), began trading on the BEI, with a value of Rp 1.1 trillion. The rating result from PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) for the bond is idAAA (Triple A), and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk acts as the Trustee in this issuance.
Total Bond Issuance
The total issuance of bonds and sukuk listed in 2023 is 100 issuances from 56 issuers, with a total value of Rp 111.55 trillion. With this listing, the total issuance of bonds and sukuk listed on the BEI amounts to 535 issuances with an outstanding nominal value of Rp 456.48 trillion and USD 69.05 million, issued by 127 issuers. State Securities (SBN) listed on the BEI amount to 191 series with a nominal value of Rp 5,536.74 trillion and USD 486.11 million. EBA comprises 9 issuances worth Rp 2.84 trillion.
