Transkon Jaya (TRJA) Prepares 665 Vehicles to Add 3 New Businesses

IDXChannel - PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) plans to expand its business activities in the land transportation sector in line with the growing demand for transportation in East Kalimantan.

TRJA will add other land transportation business areas for passengers, bus transportation not on other routes, and rental transportation.

Management explained that the growth of industrial and mining areas in East Kalimantan has triggered an increase in the need for employee transportation services, shuttle buses, and residential transportation.

In addition, the development of the IKN also creates potential new demand that cannot yet be fully accommodated through the company's current business activities.

"By adding the new KBLI code, the company has the capacity to respond to market needs in a legal, structured, and sustainable manner," management wrote in the IDX information disclosure on Monday (May 18, 2026).

To support this business expansion, the company estimates that the investment requirement for a new vehicle fleet will reach IDR 108.9 billion over five years.

This investment includes the procurement of approximately 665 vehicles of various types during the financial projection period. After the initial expansion period, capital expenditure requirements are estimated to be in the range of IDR 15 billion to IDR 20 billion per year.

TRJA stated that the expansion will be funded from the company's cash and cash equivalents. However, this plan does not require additional initial capital as it already has an experienced workforce and adequate operational support resources.

The Company will seek shareholder approval at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which will be held simultaneously with the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on May 20, 2026.
