IBUKOTAKINI.COM – Balikpapan-based vehicle rental service provider PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) has officially announced its expansion plans.
The company, headquartered on Jalan Mulawarman, Manggar Subdistrict, East Balikpapan, will add new business lines to capture opportunities in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) area.
Including strengthening the mining sector of East Kalimantan.
This strategic step includes the addition of three new Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI) codes, namely Other Land Transportation for Passengers (49429), Non-Route Bus Transportation (49229), and Charter Transportation (49422).
In a disclosure submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, quoted on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, TRJA management confirmed that the company has been operating a fleet for employee shuttle services in the mining, oil and gas, and construction sectors.
"However, these operations need to be strengthened with an explicit KBLI licensing basis to have a valid and complete legal foundation," wrote the company report signed by Director and Corporate Secretary, Rex Alex Joseph Syauta.
"The growth of industrial and mining areas in East Kalimantan, including the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN), has created a surge in demand for shuttle bus services and residential transportation," he wrote.
Based on a feasibility study from KJPP Ihot, Dollar & Raymond (ID&R), this expansion plan was declared "Feasible" with very positive financial indicators:
In the next five years (2026-2030), revenue from this new business line is projected to grow progressively, starting from IDR 7.5 billion in the first year to reaching IDR 174.2 billion in the fifth year.
Until the end of the 2025 financial year, TRJA recorded the following financial performance:
Total Assets: Rp769.51 billion.
Total Equity: Rp387.86 billion.
Revenue: Rp508.45 billion.
Net Profit for the Current Year: Rp3.23 billion.
Although net profit experienced pressure compared to the previous year, the debt to equity ratio ( Debt to Equity Ratio ) was successfully reduced from 280% in 2023 to 98.4% in 2025, indicating an increasingly healthy capital structure.
To realize this plan, TRJA will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) to request approval for changes to Article 3 of the Articles of Association.
Date: Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Time: 15:45 WIB.
Location: Artotel Suites Mangkuluhur, Jakarta.
Shareholders entitled to attend are those registered in the Shareholders Register (DPS) as of the date of the GMS invitation on April 28, 2026.
The decision to change the articles of association requires the approval of more than 2/3 of those present.
