Mining vehicle rental service provider, PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA), has allocated a capital expenditure of IDR 100 billion for this year. Geraldine Simanjuntak, Head of Investor Relations at Transkon Jaya, mentioned that the capital expenditure is focused on purchasing new vehicles.
The company plans to add light trucks and light buses to its fleet this year. These vehicle types represent the latest rental service units provided by Transkon Jaya. This move aligns with the successful tender acquisitions for infrastructure support vehicle projects.
Additionally, Transkon Jaya has started the process of replacing old vehicles for existing customers in the previous period. Currently, the company owns more than 2,000 vehicles, with an addition of approximately 40 units each month.
The management of Transkon Jaya expects the demand for vehicle rentals to be better this year compared to the previous year. The company aims to capitalize on this opportunity to expand its business. It is worth noting that Transkon Jaya recently expanded its business operations to Halmahera Island, North Maluku Province, in early February 2021.
