TRIBUNKALTIM.CO, BALIKPAPAN – In the spirit of building relationships, the management of Tribun Kaltim paid a visit to the office of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk in Balikpapan.
The event was attended by Erika Oktaviani as the GM Business, Eko as the Advertising Manager of Tribun Kaltim, Lexi R. Rompas as the President Director, and R. Alexander J. Syauta as the Corporate Secretary of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk.
According to Lexi, the local company was established in the Oil City in 2002.
“The initial operations began in one of the remote areas of Central Kalimantan. The business initially faced some skepticism because, as field people, the founders were expected to provide large vehicle rental services,” Lexi said.
However, it didn’t take long for the company to receive numerous requests, leading them to decide to go public through an initial public offering (IPO).
IPO is understood as a way for a company to raise capital by selling a portion of its shares to the public.
This move made PT Transkon Jaya Tbk the first local company to offer its shares on the stock market.
In general, the company operates in two business activities: providing light vehicle rental services and offering PACNet internet services, with a larger proportion in the vehicle rental sector.
Welcoming the visit, Lexi expressed hope that the company, recently awarded the Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Award (BISRA) 2021 in the silver category for Certificate Appreciation Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, will benefit from this collaboration.
He also hoped that this visit would mark the beginning of a successful partnership between the two companies.
